On October 23, 2014, Los Angeles Confidential toasted cover star James Marsden at its annual Men’s Issue celebration, presented by Bentley Motors, at Unici Casa. Don Julio Tequila provided custom beverages for the special evening, as guests enjoyed desserts by Edougble Ready to Eat Cookie Dough. Featured guests like John Terzian, Brian Toll, and Jonnie and Mark Houston also came out to fête the issue and support the evening’s charity partner, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. We were delighted that Polite Table Tennis Co. was invited to provide a special piece of entertainment with our Model 2 Table and Slow Motion Machine.

This is a unique blend of brands that all share the taste for style and performance. We're excited to unveil our Model 1 and possibly our Model 2 table. Should make for a nice evening with some table tennis competition.

Rogers Honsby, a well-known professional baseball player, once said “People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.” Well, if only Polite Table Tennis Co. was making custom Model 1 Tables during Hornsby's heyday, he could have been improving his hand-eye coordination on our premier table tennis table.

Why did you re-invent the table tennis table?
We get this question all the time.
As obsessed table tennis players and woodworking craftsmen, we challenged ourselves to reinvent the table tennis experience starting with how the table is stored and ultimately displayed. Unfortunately, for years, owners of tables were forced to store a conventional half-fold table with the underside being an eyesore in your garage or backyard. Not to mention the limits on bringing table-top tennis into space-constrained city lofts and apartments. Well, the thinking has changed thanks to the engineering at Polite.
Our patent-pending table design features the most unique way to store and display a table-top tennis table. Some may call it floor art or a chalkboard or a giant picture frame. Whatever your table becomes for you, we know that our unconventional approach will be appreciated by you for many years and matches to come.
Polite tables are hand-made with old growth vintage wood and stylish brackets/fixtures. To make this conversation piece even more special, we can personalize the actual table top with your photos, a chalkboard finish, or art reprints.
You can practice your drives, chops, spins and drop shots on a premier playing surface and store and display as an iconic piece of furniture in your home or office.
